Getting started
How eTRAC Commute works
First step: calculate your monthly deduction
You can calculate your monthly deduction using our Return-on-Investment
(Tax Savings) Calculator. Figure all of your workplace
commuting expenses even if they exceed the tax-free $120 in
transit and $230 in parking limits for 2009. You can use after-tax dollars
to make up the difference.
Next step: sign up
Signing up is easy. You'll need the amounts you calculated above, and your Member I. D., which your employer will have provided to you. Go to our Participant Sign-in and follow the easy prompts to enroll in eTRACCommute.
Final step: start saving
From this point on, every qualified purchase you make saves you 30 to 40 percent.
eTRAC MasterCard
Accessing your funds couldn't be simpler. You just use
your eTRAC card, exactly as you would a MasterCard® card,
at your transit vending machine or with your parking vendor.
Or you can use the card to go online to your transit authority
to buy passes and have them mailed to you. Money is automatically
deducted from your eTRAC account. There's no
digging deep for cash or waiting for reimbursements.
Because our patent-pending technology allows you to use your card only for qualified purchases, there's no need to keep or submit receipts. It's paper-free!
If for some reason you have a commuter expense for which you cannot use your eTRAC card, you can always submit a claim form with a receipt and we'll reimburse you promptly.
Manage your funds with our 24/7 Participant web site
You can check the status of your funds at any time on our web site. All you will need is your member I. D. Visit our Participant Log-in.
Going on vacation? No problem
You can increase or decrease the funds you direct to your eTRAC Account month by month. So if you'll be on vacation and needing fewer transit dollars, you can decrease your deduction for that month. Plus, any unused dollars roll over into the following month, and even year. There's no rush to spend down.
