Benefit Resource will host the “NYC Transit Law – Savings for All” webinar of Nov. 18, 2016. This is the third public webinar Benefit Resource has offered since the law was signed in October 2014. The New York City Transit law indicates employers with 20 or more full-time employees working in New York City (including all 5 boroughs) must offer a qualified commuter benefit program by January 1, 2016.

“We are committed to educating the public on the benefits the law can provide to the average business and entrepreneur in New York City. The first two webinars offered covered the basics of commuter benefits and the New York City Transit Law. This webinar goes a step further to explain the specific requirements and situations  that have been recently defined by the Department of Consumer Affairs.” Explained Michael Griffith, Director of Sales for Benefit Resource.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and Department of Consumer Affairs Commissioner Julie Menin recently announced the launch of the City’s public education and outreach campaign to help employers and employees understand their responsibilities and rights under the NYC Commuter Benefit Law. Benefit Resource is committed to supporting these efforts as it has done since the law was announced.
