What if my expense is more than the amount available in my account?

  • Ask the merchant if they can process the transaction for the exact amount available on your card and then pay for the remaining amount with a separate form of payment.
  • If the merchant is unable to process a partial payment from the card, you will need to pay the entire amount with another form of payment. Even if you are unable to use your card one month, there is no loss of benefit as the balance will roll to the next month and will be available for future expenses. For parking and vanpool expenses, you also have the option of submitting a claim for reimbursement when expenses are paid out-of-pocket.
